TiO2/SiO2/kaolinite hybrid filler to improve the flame retardancy, smoke suppression and anti-aging characteristics of epoxy resin

چکیده

A multi-functional kaolinite-based compound ([email protected]) was prepared by successive loading of TiO2 and SiO2 to the surface metakaolinite (Kaol), followed reaction with γ-aminopropyl triethoxysilane (APTES). The hybrid then introduced epoxy resin (EP) enhance flame retardancy, smoke suppression anti-aging properties. results demonstrated presence only 3 wt% [email protected] can increase value limit oxygen index (LOI) EP composite 27.3% from 25.3% neat EP, as well decrease heat release rate, total density 36.9, 14.3 19.9%, respectively, compared EP. Besides, thermal stability oxidative resistance composites enhanced. mechanism fire anti-ageing mechanical containing also speculated.
